2022 Volunteer Spotlight: FOYA Friday!
We would like to thank the judges of the 2022 Facility of the Year Awards (FOYA) program. The FOYA program has proven to be the premier global awards program focused on recognizing innovation and creativity in the design, construction, and operation of Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology manufacturing facilities. The program also serves to promote technological innovation across the industry.
We would like to recognize the judges for the significant amount of time and effort that goes into this role. Even before coming together to discuss the projects, the judges spent countless hours reviewing each project that was submitted. They then met for two days to thoroughly discuss and assess the merits of each project as a team. Over the two days the judges participate in three rounds of deliberations where they determine the top projects and finally, the category and overall winners. Following the extensive selection process, the judges write summaries as to why each project was selected.
The FOYA program is unique because it provides a platform for the pharmaceutical science and manufacturing industry to showcase its accomplishments in facility design, construction, and operation while sharing the development of new applications of technology and cutting-edge approaches that it is adopting. This program would not be what it is today without our volunteers, and we extend a very big thank you to each of them!
