Season's Greetings from ISPE

As we approach the end of this year, we want to thank each of you—members, volunteers, leaders, and staff. We appreciate your great work, commitment, and dedication, which have been integral to ISPE’s progress and growth.

In 2018, we supported Women in Pharma® and Young Professionals with the first travel grants from the ISPE Foundation. We saw huge success in partnerships with our Affiliates and had a major Pharmaceutical Manufacturing conference in India and a European Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing conference in France. We also inaugurated an ISPE European Aseptic Conference in Vienna where we celebrated the German-speaking D/A/C/H Affiliate’s 25th anniversary.

We continue to see growth in major areas of the organization:

• International membership is now over 18,500 members
• Our largest-ever ISPE Annual Meeting & Expo and ISPE Europe Annual Conference
• A new state of the art Training Center opened in the Greater Washington DC area
• Increased growth of student chapters around the globe

We surpassed previous years’ efforts to deliver world-class education to our members and the industry through our conferences, training, and publications, including our most successful Annual Meeting & Expo held in the pharmaceutical hub of Philadelphia.

We are looking forward to what 2019 will bring for ISPE as we expand our digital offerings, explore cutting-edge topics in conferences such as Facilities of the Future and Aseptic Processing; lead the industry with key manufacturing knowledge sharing in areas such as Pharma 4.0; and continue to build on the first year of success of the ISPE Foundation.

The ISPE leadership and staff continue to strive to raise the bar as the best professional association in the bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing space. But we cannot do it alone. This is your Society and we encourage all members to be more engaged as a volunteer, a contributor to Pharmaceutical Engineering® magazine, an author or reviewer of Guidance Documents, a participant in the Facility of the Year Awards, or as a donor to the ISPE Foundation.
