Thanmaya Peram

Thanmaya Peram is a Principal Engineer and Group Leader with over 13 years of downstream process development experience at Genentech. She currently leads a team of scientists and engineers who develop downstream purification processes through all stages of clinical development, including technology development, technology transfer for manufacturing and authoring regulatory submissions. Other responsibilities include serving as CMC expert for programs in late-stage research, providing review and oversight of downstream process validation strategies for all late-stage programs , and sponsoring purification department’s digital transformation at Genentech. Thanmaya received B.S. degree in Information Science and Engineering from Bangalore University, India, and M.S. degrees in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University.
