Roberto Conocchia

Roberto Conocchia is a GMP Technical Lead at the European Medicine Agency (EMA). He obtained a Master degree in Bio-Chemistry from the University of Rome (La Sapienza) and a Post-graduate master’s degree in Natural substances and bio-organic Chemistry. Roberto worked in three different API manufacturing sites in Italy from 2000 to 2006. He also worked as GMP inspector at the Italian Agency Medicine (AIFA) performing regulatory inspections of pharmaceutical manufacturers (all dosage forms), focusing on sterile, not sterile and biological products from 2007 to 2012. From 2012 to 2013, he worked at the European Medicine Agency (EMA) as National Expert coordinating GMP inspections and as GMP Senior inspector at the Italian Agency Medicine (AIFA) from 2013 to February 2018.
