Mike Sweeney is currently Senior Director, Global Service Development at World Courier Management Inc. He has created logistical solutions for World Courier’s bio/pharmaceutical customer base since joining the company in 1992. Following several years of international operations experience, Sweeney’s responsibilities shifted to service delivery, regulatory, global clinical trials, business development and IT prior to assuming his current position. He has spoken at various industry conferences, transport seminars and clinical study investigator meetings around the world. He works closely with both World Courier's transport and Clinical Supply Solutions (CSS) divisions globally, across internal functional areas (operations, legal, IT, strategy, sales, marketing, etc.) as well as with customers primarily on patient-centric services and logistical solutions, such as direct to patient and cell and gene therapy, as well as customer-facing systems and shipment / route visibility optimization. Sweeney is a Member of ISPE, and he has served on ISPE’s Investigational Products COP. He is currently managing global communications within the Global Clinical Supplies Group (GCSG).
