Head Industrial Hygiene
Marc Abromovitz’s role at Novartis is to lead the industrial hygiene program for the Corporation. support including support for IH risk assessments and new capital projects.. He has more than 30 years of industrial hygiene and safety experience including 27 years in the pharmaceutical industry at J&J and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). His primary responsibilities at GSK & J&J included directing their worldwide IH program, coordinating their containment and exposure control strategies for chemical agents and potent compounds, and performing engineering design reviews. Prior to GSK, he was the corporate health and safety manager at Morton International with global responsibility for their industrial hygiene and safety programs. Abromovitz received his BS in biology from the University of Pittsburgh and his MS from the University of Massachusetts, School of Public Health. He is a certified industrial hygienist (CIH) by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene and is a Member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association and ISPE.
