Kira L. Ford

Ms. Ford is currently Director, Global Quality, responsible for the Quality standards, practices, business processes and implementation tools for both the Lilly Quality System supporting the pharmaceutical enterprise and the Global Quality System supporting manufacturing and product supply. Through her work she assures that Lilly’s Quality Standards and their application into manufacturing operations are in compliance with various country agency standards, industry trends and scientific principles.

Ms. Ford received her B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech and has over 29 years of experience with Eli Lilly and Company. Over this time, she has developed extensive manufacturing site experience through a variety of roles within Technical Services/Manufacturing Science, Operations, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance. As a Site Quality Leader for over a decade, Ms. Ford gained first-hand experience and insight into the important role that a strong quality culture and focus on quality metrics has in improving not only site performance but also employee satisfaction and engagement. In her current role, Ms. Ford is continuing to work on culture and metrics as key elements of a robust and effective Quality Management System.
