James (Jim) Stephanou has been with Merck since August of 2015 and is responsible for the Global Engineering Solutions group. His global team implements capital projects, primarily for the Merck Manufacturing Division and for Merck Research Labs with an annual capital spend of $4B.
Jim and his team have been very collaborative and very willing to think outside the box and implement new technologies that are helping achieve cost and schedule certainty and overall project success.
Prior to joining Merck, Jim worked for Bayer for over 14 years in various locations and technical roles in commercial, engineering and manufacturing.
Jim started his career in the petro-chemical industry in the US Gulf Coast, in various engineering and manufacturing leadership roles in the US and global locations.
