Gayle Flynn

Gayle serves as an Engagement Delivery Partner at Cognizant, where she has been employed for the past eight years. She is an enthusiastic supporter of ISPE Women in Pharma, where she is a Women in Pharma Ambassador. She has worked in clinical research for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Cognizant, Gayle held positions of increasing responsibility at Pfizer, PPD, Quintiles and GSK. Gayle is known for driving innovation and transformation in the IRT and clinical supplies space and has earned a reputation as a dynamic, people, and patient-focused solutions-oriented leader.

Gayle was recognized as a Health Care Business Women’s Association Luminary in 2021. She credits her success in the industry to creating strategies with a patient-first mindset while building highly competent diverse teams that can flawlessly execute against those strategies. With more than 10 years of leadership experience in managing and inspiring large teams, she fosters environments built on trust and psychological safety.

Gayle earned a master’s degree in 2017 from Harvard University (ALM) and a bachelor’s degree from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario. She is a community leader for the Raleigh Women in Technology Network (WIT), a Cognizant Outreach Coordinator for the Raleigh Durham area, and participates in the Raleigh chapter of HBA. Gayle lives in Cary, NC, with her husband and has four children and a dog named Maisie.
