Vice President, Head of Americas
Carlos began his career in GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) as a Site Utilities Engineer at their Manufacturing facility in Cidra, Puerto Rico. With more than twelve years at GSK, he held several roles of increasing responsibility in both their Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) and Workplace, Real Estate and Facilities (WREF) organizations. Some of these roles include: Engineering Manager, Clifton, NJ; Packaging Operations Manager, Clifton, NJ; Site Operations Director, RTP, NC and Global Engineering Director, WREF.
In 2018 he left GSK to join Merck as an Executive Director and Chief of Staff for the Global Workplace and Enterprise Services Leadership Team. During his time at Merck, he was responsible for developing, managing, and executing the organization's strategy and portfolio of strategic initiatives.
In 2020 Carlos returned to GSK as VP, Head of Americas for the Workplace, Real Estate & Facilities organization. As Head of Americas, Carlos has end to end responsibility for all services provided to R&D and Commercial sites in North and South America. These services include Real Estate, Facilities Management and Capital Projects.
During his free time Carlos volunteers for several committees within GSK focused on DE&I and Charitable Contributions. Outside of GSK he also serves on non-profit boards that support the communities in which he is a part of.
