Head of Sustainability Global Engineering
Melanee Short is a passionate sustainability leader who has been developing and implementing environmental projects for more than 20 years. Since joining Sanofi in 2007, she has held various Site, Regional and Global responsibilities with the constant goal of reducing the environmental footprint of the operations. She has led multimillion dollar capital infrastructure projects that support critical manufacturing activities while simultaneously achieving significant reductions in water consumption, energy utilization and CO2 emissions.
In her current role as Head of Sustainability, Global Engineering, Melanee is responsible for leading the Global Engineering team’s strategy to meet Sanofi’s Planet Care objectives across the Manufacturing and Supply network.
Melanee is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University (Canada) and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business (Canada).
